From:  Cheryl B.

Hi!
My husband Dan and myself also have penguins who travel with us.  They have names - Mr. and Mrs.  Guido Penguino. Unlike your unnamed bird, Mr. and Mrs. GP are very talkative and make many demands. They want their champers at the cocktail hour, prefer smoked salmon and get very cross if little fish bits don't cross their beaks at their hungry moments.  We are going to Bali in May and of course the birds are tagging along.  We are staying at some very nice hotels and I'm sure all the room service people will get to know them quite well by the time we check out.
Best regards to the Unnamed Penguin!

Hi!  It is nice to know that Penguin travels worldwide.  However, I was wondering why Penguin never went to the Philippines.  Is it forthcoming?  I will be looking forward to that day when I could see the Philippines on your website.  There are some recommendations that I could give.  The best time to travel there is during May.  There are a lot of festivities all over the country at this time of the year.  It is summer month so expect a very humid temperature, around 30 degrees C. or higher.  This is fiesta time in a lot of different places all over the islands.  The beaches are good in Davao and Cebu but the traffic is bad in Manila and the neighbouring cities.  There are a lot of beautiful places in the Philippines.  If you need more information, I would be glad to be of help as well.

What can I say except that it is refreshing to see that someone else sees penguins in the same way that I do, they are not only something wonderful to look at but also very good companions wherever you go!
Penguin has been with me to Turkey and Tunisia so far, has had pictures taken at the sites (and sunbathing too I might add) and has enjoyed meeting his counterparts at the local zoo.
Many think I am mad, but I think I am just slightly penguinologically insane.
Greetings from one penguin lover to another two.

For the longest time I believed I was just a paranoid delusionist.  I thought I was being followed by midgets and then one day it just stopped.  Now I realize that they haven't stopped at all, they have just cleverly disguised themselves as penguins.  Now they can walk around in society completely undetected.  No one ever suspects cute little penguins of conspiring to spy on an ordinary citizen.  I believe these midget/penguins are stealing the lids off my toothpaste, hiding my keys and I also believe they are responsible for silent letters and the color orange.

I was surfing the web when I found your site.  I am glad that I found it because I really enjoyed myself looking at your pictures of your traveling penguin.  I think your idea is very original and I admire your work for taking so many pictures in so many places.  Your penguin has been in so many places I have just dreamed to be.
The reason for this Email is that I would like to request your permission to use your pictures on my website.  My website is about the Linux operating system, I believe you probably know about LINUX and probably know that the Penguin is the Mascot of Linux.
I thought it will be interesting to have pictures of your penguin on my site.  Since lots of Linux users Love the penguin, your penguin will be a good addition to our site and add some needed comic relief.  :)

Hi there.  I wonder, if next time Penguin is visiting England, maybe he'd like to pop in and see some of his relatives.  Eric the large Stuffed Penguin, Florri the other large stuffed penguin, Cookie Penguin, Bouquette Penguin, The Penguin adventurers, and the rest of the penguin family that are currently lodging with me.
Florri is the only penguin currently living with us who has travelled by plane.  He originally lived in Florida, USA, and came back with us on the plane, sitting on my knee, as there was spare seat for him.  Everyone wanted to chat to him though! (Probably about the same size as your penguin!)
Just thought I'd e-mail you as I think those pictures are wonderful, made me smile!  Take care,

I hope that you remember me.  I was your tour guide around central Australia and Ayers Rock.  If you were not too drunk, you may remember that you stole the party at a night club in Alice Springs and your owner Brian won $200 worth of travel.  Melanka Lodge will never be the same again!
Your pages and travels are really impressive.  I hope that you notify me when your photos of Ayers Rock, etc., are published, as I am designing a passengers' page and I would like to keep in contact with you and be updated when you experience new things, eg, if there is any romantic experiences with a lady penguin.  Make sure Brian and Bernie think of you.  After all, you are now getting to be an adult penguin.

Your site is fantastic.  Who traveled with Mr. Penguin to all of those places?  I was actually in Antarctica and played with real penguins, had one named Chilly Willy, he went everywhere with us.  Had to leave him behind unfortunately, however, I have a full grown penguin outfit, and have cruised the Caribbean, his favorite port was Cozumel, Mexico (was quite warm though).  Have hundreds of stuffed and porcelain penguins and keep on collecting.  If you have any sites where I can purchase any more memorabilia please feel free to e-mail me.  Penguins Forever.

Hey,
Your penguin page has to be the hippest, coolest web site I've seen all year.  I'm a big fan of penguins too.  I used to work at Sea World in Ohio, and I would periodically visit the penguin exhibit in my spare time.  They are just so mellow and funny looking, and your pictures take advantage of this.
I particularly enjoy the smart humor in all of your penguin pictures!  From beer steins to the Burgess Meredith/Batman connection, I enjoyed your photo gallery.  How did you get such a nice picture of the Hollywood sign, by the way?
Anyway, keep up the cool work.  I'll be sure to include a link to your page on my website the next time I update it.

As a penguin collector, I must say your site is very attractive!
My personal penguin lust is for an item that was made by Westbend from the 30s to the 60s.  It is called the Hot Cold Server and is an almost round "bucket" made of metal and circled by embossed penguins.  Often referred to as the Penguin Ice Bucket, you will find many of them listed for sale at the Ebay auction site.  If you aren't aware of this auction site, take a look!  I have been collecting this item fairly seriously for just 4 or 5 years.  I try never to pay more than $10.00 ... and I have almost 120 of them to date!  My kitchen is designed to show them off - they can be found in the classic chrome/stainless finish, copper, and (the hardest to find) a brushed aluminum.
Love your travel pictures!

Just a quick note to say it was nice of you to give Chuck such a glowing review.  He's really busted his butt turning the place around & he deserves a warm round...etc., etc.,  I'm the silent partner (the missing stooge) in the operation (by distance, not choice), so I'm always feeling a tad guilty about his load - oh well - baghavad-yada-yad... let it be known there's always a roof up in Alaska to crawl out of the elements under.  Chuckie can give you the details.

Great Site and Pictures!!  I purchased two Penguins today that could be related to yours, one identical and one for the Holiday season complete with Candy Cane and Red Bow Tie.  The one Penguin was a replacement for the one that was Kidnapped in August from my front porch - no ransom note or any hint to where he is.  I have collected Penguins for about 9 years now with quite an extensive collection (even a couple from Japan).  It's great to see so many fellow Penguin lovers out there.

All in all, I feel that "George Belvedere Duncan III" is the PERFECT penguin name and I would be honored if you chose it.  As for the name, I tend to name everything George, because it just appears to be this humorous name.  Belvedere was a suggestion from the penguin-giver.  Duncan was the last name of the giver.  And I added the 3rd because I feel that gives him a more distinguished sound.
I would also understand if you decided not to use it for there are thousands of names out there for penguins, you just have to go in search of the perfect one.  Let me know what you decide!
Keep travelling!

In addition, I volunteer at Hanauma Bay at the education desk we've set up there.  So when I saw your picture, I copied it, and then put it on a remote page on a little used web-site that I have running on my computer at school when the WAN/LAN link is up.   May I leave it on, can I put in a link to Penguins travel pictures, and who should I credit...
